->Gallagher, Mary ShilandMary Shiland Gallagher, 90, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother died peacefully April 8, 2013 at her home in Chappaqua, NY. She was born November 25, 1922 in St. John's, Newfoundland to Bernard A. Norris and Alicia Fitzpatrick. In 1946, Mrs. Gallagher worked for American Overseas Airlines in Gander, Nfld, where she met Andrew Shiland of New York, NY, and they married in 1947. In 1953, they moved to Chappaqua, NY. After Andrew Shiland died in 1963, she met and married Ralph S. Gallagher in 1969, an advertising executive and widowed father of seven children. Mrs. Gallagher was active in the Twigs and Junior League of Northern Westchester and a member of the Mt. Kisco Country Club. Mrs. Gallagher is survived by her four children; Alicia S. Rounds, Andrew Shiland V, Harriette S. McDonough, Elizabeth S. Shoemaker, eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, six stepchildren; Mary A., Catherine, Eeo, John, Ralph S. Jr. and Charles G. Gallagher. She is also survived by her sisters, Alicia N. Eaton and Kathleen Norris. Visitation at Cassidy-Flynn Funeral Home, Mt.Kisco, NY April 12 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral Mass April 13 at 10 am at The Church of St. John and St.Mary (Little Church) in Chappaqua, NY.
