Mary Rosella Davis, 93, Seymour, passed away at 4:15 p.m. Sunday, July 29, 2007, at Kindred Hospital Indianapolis South, Greenwood. Mrs. Davis was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church of Seymour for 51 years. She formerly worked at Gerwin Shoe Co., and retired from Domestic Laundry after 28 years of service. Born Feb. 14, 1914, in East Burnstadt, Ky., she was a daughter of Charles and Pearlie Mae Delph Reynolds, both of whom preceded her in death. On June 26, 1939, in Jellico, Tenn., she married Sam Davis, who also preceded her in death. Survivors include a daughter, Martha (John) Thompson, Seymour; four sons, Robert Daniel (Eliza) Davis, John Paul (Lillie) Davis, David Kenneth (Carolyn) Davis and Fred Phillip Davis, all of Seymour; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Lorene Weaver and Elizabeth Stout. She was preceded in death by two sons, William C. "Bill" Davis and Jimmy Blain Prewitt; a daughter, Thelma Prewitt; and three brothers, John Daniel Reynolds, Spencer Lunsford and Simon Delph. The Rev. Manuel Ojeda will conduct funeral services at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Voss Chapel, Seymour. Burial will take place at Riverview Cemetery.
