Brockton Mary R. (Pagano) Murphy, of Brockton, formerly of Jamaica Plain, died Thursday, April 24, 2008, at the Braemoor Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Brockton. She was 80 years old. She was born in Boston, daughter of the late Phillip and Lillian (Alberti) Pagano. Beloved wife of the late James M. Murphy; loving mother of Brian M. Murphy of Brockton, Patricia A. Giardini of Brockton and Gail M. Howard of South Easton; devoted sister of Anthony Matroni of Canton, Joseph Matroni of Canton, Frances Palaza of Rockland and Angelina Giampetro of Pembroke. Also survived by nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Mary enjoyed playing bingo. Funeral from the Sampson-Hickey-Grenier Funeral Home, 309 Main St., Brockton, Monday, April 28, at 8 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass at 9 a.m. in Christ the King Church, Wendell Avenue, Brockton.
