CARTER, MARY PATRICIA SWANN, 76, passed away in peace Wednesday May 11, 2011, surrounded by her loving family in her home in Watsonville. She was a professional seamstress and a retired bus driver (32 years) for Miller Transportation. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Alice Swann; brothers, Robert L., Jerome B. and Tommy Swann. Survivors include her children, Christy Wilson (Marion), Bobby Jr. (Kathy), Judy, Johnny, Ray (Leighann), Kevin, Rick and Jerry Carter (Angi); a sister, Betty Truglio; 15 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. The funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, 7335 Southside Drive, with burial in St. Andrews Cemetery. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Saturday and 2-8 p.m. Sunday at J. E. Ratterman & Son, 7336 Southside Drive. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation.
