DALEY Mary Patricia (Renehan) Daley, age 75, of Shelton, entered into rest on Sunday, March 8, 2009 in Hartford Hospital. She was the devoted wife of 54 years of Vincent A. Daley. She was born in Providence, R.I., on October 27, 1933, daughter of the late Edmund J. and Anna Mary (Murphy) Renehan, and was a Shelton resident for many years. Mary was a longtime member of St. Lawrence Church and a communicant for 45 years. Her active involvement included being the former secretary of St. Lawrence Religious Education, a former member of the Rosary Society, Mother's circle, and a longtime carnival volunteer. She would always volunteer at St. Lawrence School for both her children and grandchildren, and she was very active in attending and supporting their involvement with the Scouts and all basketball and football functions. She loved to read while sitting in her chair, looking out the driveway waiting for her next visitor. She is the beloved mother of Michael V. Daley and his wife, Alisa, Kenneth J. Daley, Patricia Flood and her husband, Michael, Anne Marie Stonoha and her husband, John, and Joanne Daley and her husband, Jon Fleming. She was the loving grandmother of 13 cherished grandchildren, Ian, Justin, Kiera, Alex, and Kate Daley, Caitlin, Jimmy, and Colleen Flood, Greg, Scott, and Shannon Stonoha, and Jacob Fleming and Keith Beavers; and two great-grandchildren, Kayla Daley and Kelly Beavers. She also leaves a brother, Edmond J. Renehan, a sister, Kathleen Gilligan, and a daughter-in-law, Lacinda VanGieson. She was predeceased by a brother, Donald Renehan, a sister, Claire Renehan, and a daughter-in-law, Sandi Daley. She is now in heaven with her mother, father, sister, and brother singing the Renehan song one more time. Friends may greet the family at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton, on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. Her funeral procession will leave the funeral home on Thursday at 11 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. at St. Lawrence Church in Shelton.
