Mary P. Donovanof BinghamtonMary P. Donovan, 90, of Binghamton, died Monday morning, January 8, 2007. She was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Arthur R. Donovan; and her grandson, Matthew Donovan; and daughter-in-law, June Donovan. Mary is survived by her children, Gerald and Ann Donovan, Tex., Thomas and Diane Donovan, Va., Sheila Donovan, Johnson City, Brian and Jean Donovan, Horseheads, Dennis and Sue Donovan, Eileen and Tim Heslin, Mark and Annie Donovan, all of Binghamton, Lisa and Jerry O'Dwyer, N.J.; foster daughter, Leni and Dick Berry, Marathon; 26 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Rita Palermo; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Agnes Hogan, Helen Donovan, Edward and Eleanor Donovan. She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Binghamton, and the Altar-Rosary Society and Fatima Group. Mary and Art were Foster Parents for over 42 years for Catholic Social Services of Broome County. The family wishes to thank the staff of Level A at Good Shepherd-Fairview Home for the compassionate care given to Mary in her final days.Funeral Services will be held at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton, Thursday at 8:30 a.m. and at 9 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, where a Funeral Mass will be offered. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the McCormack Funeral Home Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in memory of Mary may be made to Catholic Social Services of Broome County, 232 Main St., Binghamton, N.Y. 13905.
