Mary Morrell 1918-2014 Mary Morrell of Perth-Andover, formerly of Morrell Siding, passed away at Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on April 27, 2014. Mary was born in Newburg, NB on June 12, 1918. She was the daughter of the late, Whitfield and Annie (Gallagher) Baker. Mary leaves behind her daughter, Kathy (Rick) Christensen of Aroostook, and her son, Richard (Brenda) Morrell of Grand Bay-Westfield; 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren; brothers-in-law Wendell Morrell, Victor (June) Morrell; sisters-in-law Phyllis (Arthur) McLaughlin, Ethel and Avis Morrell; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as a dear friend Dorothy Morrell. She was predeceased by her husband, John Morrell; her daughter and her husband, Margaret and Merrill Everett; her twin sister and her husband, Margaret and Al Panser; her brother and his wife, George and Bernice Baker; her grand-daughter Emily Christensen; as well as four brothers-in-law, Hubert, Merton, Lorne (Anna), and Bernam Morrell. Mary graduated from high school in 1938 and taught in numerous, one room school houses, in Carleton and Victoria county before retiring to care for her family. even though she retired, she continued to teach members of her family and community how to dance, drive, and play 45. Mary was a life long entertainer, playing the piano for her fellow Victoria Glen resident's, right up until the last few weeks of her life. Resting at Brunswick Funeral Home with visitation on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 30, from Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, Aroostook, at 11 am. Father Joseph Onyelu celebrating. Internment will take place at the Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Cemetery. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to the Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery Fund. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home, Perth-Andover.
