MANCHESTER -- Mary Moore, beloved mother, died peacefully at her home in Manchester on Wednesday, May 25, 2005.She was born Oct. 18, 1914 in Plainfied, N.J., the daughter of Charles Albert Martin and Zula Boughton Martin. She attended school in Plainfield and New York City. Before her marriage, she was employed as a secretary at the Gramercy Park Hotel in New York. She married Dr. Charles Moore Jr. on Nov. 28, 1936. He predeceased her in January 1987.Mary was a full-time mother of five children, active in community organizations and her church. After her children were grown, she worked full-time in her husband’s dental office. She loved traveling, ballroom dancing and family events. She played the piano and organ. She was especially known for her wit and sense of humor.She is survived by five children, Mary Persons and husband Robert, Charles Moore, Nancy Moore and partner Elizabeth Selbach, Phyllis Mongno and husband Lawrence of New Jersey and Carol Lattuga of Vermont; eight grandchildren, Andrew, Linda, Jody, Jennifer, Larry, Lisa, Cristina and Danielle; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Also surviving is her sister, Elizabeth Collins of New Jersey.There will be no memorial services. Burial will take place in New Jersey.Memorial gifts may be made to The First Baptist Church of Manchester Center, or to Dorset Nursing through Brewster Funeral Service, P.O.
