Mary Miller-Jackson, née en 1936, conjointe de Winston-Palmer Jackson, mère de Queen Elizabeth, Vicky et Arthur Vernon Goodman, est décédée le 10 mars 2011 à l'âge de 75 ans.
Mary Miller-Jackson, 75, died March 10, 2011, at Georgetown University Hospital, Washington, D.C. She was born in Pelham, Ga., and lived in Fort Pierce for a few years before moving to Washington, where she lived for 40 years. She sang gospel around the world. She was employed as a guidance counselor at University of District of Columbia. She was a church member at Word of Faith, Church of Jesus Christ in Riverdale, Md. Survivors include her daughters, Queen Elizabeth Thompkins of Fort Pierce and Vicky Goodman of Washington; brothers, Jessie Miller of Fort Pierce and Abram Miller of Charlotte, N.C.; sisters, Eartha Bethea of Roland, N.C., and Shirley Robinson of Fort Pierce; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Winston Palmer Jackson; son, Arthur Vernon Goodman Jr.; and brother, Bishop Isaac Miller Jr. Services: Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. March 18 and from 9 a.m. to noon March 19 at Sarah's Memorial Chapel. A home-going service will be at 2 p.m. March 19 at Apostle Faith Church of Deliverance with Elder Otis Ingram, officiating, Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery.
