Medical Insurance ClerkWINTER HAVEN -- Mrs. Mary Marie McDowell of Winter Haven died of a brain hemorrhage Wednesday (Aug. 20, 2003) at Winter Haven Hospital. She was 82.Born in Kansas City, Mo., on June 19, 1921, she came to Winter Haven from Pensacola in 1952. She was a medical insurance clerk for Lien, Gasner, Mosley, Brooks and Kramer Medical Center. She was president of the Cypress Landings Homeowners Association. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Winter Haven.Mrs. McDowell is survived by her daughters, Marianne McDowell, Gainesville, Melody M. Johnson, Winter Haven, Melissa McDowell Rodd, Newport News, Va.; son, Forest R. McDowell, Melbourne; sisters, Nancy Cacioppo, Praire Village, Kan., Jeania H. Carroll, Port Townsend, Wash.; seven grandchildren. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, 2425 W. Havendale Blvd., Winter Haven. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Lakeside Memorial Park, Winter Haven.
