Gray - Mrs. Mary McCall Moore, age 82, wife of Newman Moore, entered into rest on April 22, 2008, at the Coliseum Medical Centers, Macon, Georgia.In 1986, she married Newman Moore and they lived in Athens and Gray, Georgia. Mary loved her family and church friends and she was very active in her family church in Martin, Hull, Athens, Georgia and most recently a member of the Elam Baptist Church, Gray, Georgia.Mrs. Moore was a native of Hart County, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Rosa and Jesse W. Sanders. She is survived by her husband Newman Moore, Gray, Georgia; sons Larry (Charm) McCall, Augusta, Georgia, Jerry McCall, Grovehill, Alabama; Grandchildren, Matthew McCall, Athens, Georgia, Kim Bell, Thomasville, Alabama, Jennifer Jackson, Daphne, Alabama, Travis Martin, Suwanee, Georgia, James Martin, Rockhill, South Carolina and 10 great grandchildren.Funeral services will be held at the Elam Baptist Church, 203 Elam Church Road, Gray, Georgia at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, April 24, 2008. The church will be open at 9:30 a.m. for family visitation. The Rev. Gary Thomas will be officiating. The burial service will be held in Martin, Georgia at 4:00 p.m. at the Martin Cemetery.The family request memorials to be made to Elam Baptist Church in lieu of flowers.Monroe County Memorial Chapel in Forsyth has charge of arrangements.
