MAXWELL, Mary Edna (nee Myrtle) 81 years, died peacefully on January 24, 2010 surrounded by her family at her home in St. Clair Beach. Beloved wife of 59 years to Gord. Loving mother of Gord (Sandra Dayus); Peter (Jan Ledgley); Connie (Barry Carr); Linda Simpson; Cathy (Tom Tobin); Lisa (Bill Swartz); and Caroline (Greg Milkovich). Daughter of the late Patrick Myrtle and Sarah (Nee Redmond). Dear grandmother of JME (Linda Cole) and Verity; Pete and Greg; Katherine and Elizabeth; Angela and Christine; Ryan, Stephanie, and Christopher; Candice, Skylar, and Spencer; and Sarah and Katie. Great-grandmother of Beatrix. Dear sister of Kathleen 'Kay' Jones and the late Peggy Duggan, Bridget Misener, Joe Myrtle and Pat Myrtle. Special aunt to many nieces and nephews. Mary was a registered nurse (Hotel Dieu) and was active in her church and community. She was a member of the C.W.L., a former member of the Parish Council of St. Gregory's, and a member of Beach Grove Golf and Country Club. Visiting Monday, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Marcotte Funeral Home and Chapel, 12105 Tecumseh Road, Tecumseh (519-735-2830). CWL prayers Monday at 3:00 p.m. and parish prayers Monday at 8:00 p.m. The funeral will be held on Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at 9:45 a.m. from the funeral home to Good Shepherd Parish-St. Gregory Site for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Fr. Joseph Tobin and Fr. Chris Geveart will be the celebrants. Interment at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. In kindness, a donation to the Windsor Regional Cancer Centre would be appreciated.
