October 2, 2009 Mary Margaret Peg Sullivan, 83, of Elmira, NY, died Friday, October 2, 2009. Peg was born in Geneva, NY, the daughter of Paul O. and Helen Newham Nagle. She was predeceased by her husband, Paul T. Sullivan; daughter, Mary Anne Musella; son, Michael L. Sullivan; sister, Joan Monahan; and brother, William Nagle. Peg is survived by daughter, Barbara Sullivan of Walnut Creek, CA; sons and daughter-in-law, Mark P. Sullivan of Austin, TX, and Matthew T. and Teresa Sullivan of Syracuse, NY; grandchildren, Sarah Murdough, Laura and Paul Musella, Michael Jr. and Matthew Sullivan, Megan Sullivan, and James and Joseph Sullivan; great-grand-daughter, Brady Murdough Lyons; brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Margaret Nagle of Baldwinsville, NY; sister and brother-in-law, Martha and Francis Mack of South Carolina; son-in-law, Robert Musella of Valrico FL; daughter-in-law, Barbara Sullivan of Prattville, AL; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Robert and Nora Sullivan, and Cathleen Sullivan, all of Elmira, Richard Sullivan of Florida, Kathleen Burger of Big Flats, Ann Sullivan of Buffalo and Mariann Sullivan of Vestal; also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews. Peg was a graduate of St. Joseph's Hospital School of Nursing. She worked in the obstetrics unit at St. Joseph's for over 25 years before retiring. She was a member of St. Joseph's Hospital Alumnae Association and St. Joseph's Hospital Auxiliary. Peg was a longtime communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Church. She was a member of Southern Tier Rose Society and American Rose Society. Peg enjoyed knitting and would donate many of those items to various area charities. She was an avid New York Yankee fan and would watch all the games. Friends are invited to McInerny Funeral Home, corner of W. Water and Walnut Streets, Elmira, on Tuesday, October 6, 2009, from 4 to 7 p.m. A prayer service will be held there on Wednesday, October 7, 2009, at 9:15 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Elmira. Committal prayers and interment will be at Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery. Donations in Peg's memory may be directed to either St. Joseph's Hospital Alumnae Association, c/o St. Joseph's Hospital, 555 E.
