Mary Margaret Hart, 83, Punta Gorda, died Aug. 26, 2004. She was born Sept. 8, 1920, in Detroit and came to the Punta Gorda area in 1984 from Troy, Mich. She was a graduate of Mary Grove College. She was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Andrews Golf Club and the Punta Gorda Boat Club. She was a volunteer for Hospice and the American Cancer Society. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Punta Gorda. Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Joseph; daughters Kathleen of Detroit, Maureen Hart-Kramer of Birmingham, Mich., and Mary Jo Van Tiem of Royal Oak, Mich.; sons Joseph S. of Sharon, N.H., and Thomas M. of Aptos, Calif.; a sister, Jeanne Stevenson of Melbourne; and 17 grandchildren. Services will be announced at a later date. National Cremation Society, Sarasota chapter, is in charge.
