Mary Margaret Barrett, 84, died on Saturday, July 10, at her home in Hillsborough, N.J. A funeral service will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Faith Lutheran Church, Hillsborough. Burial will be in Hollywood Memorial Park, Union. Visiting will be on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Hillsborough Funeral Home, 796 Route 206, Hillsborough. Mary was born and raised in Irvington, N.J., and had lived in Middlesex, N.J., and Doylestown, Pa., before moving to Hillsborough in 1974. A homemaker, Mary was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, the Hillsborough Senior Citizens Chapter A, the Hillsborough Garden Club, the Military Order of the Purple Heart, and the Disabled American Veterans Association. She was also a member of the Prudential Retired Employees Association, life member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, and a former member of the Third Marine Division Association. Mary also volunteered at Lyons Hospital. She was predeceased by her husband, William Charles (1998), and her son, James Stephen (1977). Surviving are her sons, Bill and his wife, Lori Barrett, of Hillsborough, and Jeffrey Barrett of Ringoes; her seven grandchildren, and her two great-grandchildren.
