HALFMOON Mary Maple Jordan, 75, of Halfmoon, died Sunday, November 27, 2005 at St. Mary's Hospital in Troy. She was the beloved wife of the late George Iggy Jordan, who died in 1995. Born in Troy, daughter of the late Fay and Yvonne Couture Maple, she resided in Watervliet for many years and has been in Halfmoon since 1967. Mary had been employed for many years by the former Bendix Corporation in Green Island, retiring in 1989 as an inspector in quality control. Mary was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and her death leaves a great void in the lives of all those who loved her so dearly. She was the beloved mother of George (Terry) Jordan of Watervliet, Christine (Stan) Batten of Lake City, Fla., Linda (Ed Ratcliffe) DelVecchio of Clifton Park and the late Robert (Kathy Hedrick) Williams; loving grandmother of Jared Hedrick, Brandy Hunt, Jennifer Kelliher and Peter Jordan; proud great-grandmother of Owen Hunt; sister of Elsie Schneider of Brunswick, John Maple of Dover, Del., Loretta Tarasewich of Clifton Park, Joseph Maple of Malta and the late Patricia Blair and Lorraine Dugan; best friend of Mary Crola and special aunt of Fay Salmon; also survived by several other nieces and nephews and her devoted canine companion, Babe. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Hope Chapel, Jeanne Jugan Lane, Latham on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Waterford. Calling hours will be held at the McNulty Funeral Home, 147 Hudson Avenue, Green Island on Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. Contributions may be made in memory of Mary to the Little Sisters of the Poor, 1 Jeanne Jugan Lane, Latham, NY 12110.
