NEW ALBANY -- Mary Manners Feiock Davis, 87, passed away Thursday, July 31, 2003. She was born in Jeffersonville, IN, on July 30, 1916, and lived most of her adult life in New Albany. After the death of her first husband, she obtained a bachelor's degree from the University of Louisville and a master's degree from Indiana University. She taught Spanish for 16 years at New Albany High School. She was a member of the Indiana Retired Teachers' Association, The Fortnightly Club and Silver Street United Methodist Church. She was a poet and a member of the International Society of Poets. She is survived by her sister, Trini Mayflower of Clarksville, IN; her two sons, Eric J. Feiock (Tammie) of Depauw, IN, and W. Anthony Feiock (Carol) of Lake Quivira, KS; her stepdaughter, Phyllis Davis Neely (Michael) of Floyds Knobs, IN; her stepson, Dennis T. Davis (Melanie) of Naperville, IL; 14 grandchildren, Angela Werncke, Penny Bodner, Jennifer Higgins, Kate Burger, Dr. David Feiock, Richard Stacey, Mike Neely, Mary B. Feiock, Tim Neely, Tonja Holcomb, Tim Holcomb II and Nathan, Emily and Laura Davis; and 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Wilton J. Feiock (1956), her second husband, Eldo N. Davis (1993), and her son, Casper J. Feiock (2002). Her funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Silver Street United Methodist Church in New Albany, with burial in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Saturday and 1-8 p.m. Sunday at the Market Street Chapel of Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Homes. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Silver Street United Methodist Church or Hospice of Southern Indiana.
