MILLER, Mary (nee O'Brien)Peacefully at the Almonte Fairview Manor, Mary Miller, at the age of 82 years, lifetime member of Holy Name of Mary Parish, Almonte and the Catholic Women's League, after a lengthy and courageous battle with Diabetes and Alzheimer's. Mary's suffering ended when the Lord took her to be with Him on Thursday, October 6, 2011. Mary was predeceased by her husband Eric Miller (1972) and by her parents, Elizabeth Gorman (1979) and Alfred O'Brien (1930). Mary is survived by her loving children, Cathy (Merv) Logan, Janice (David) Blackburn, Stephen (Kathie), Michael (Nancy) and Angela (Greg) Giles. Her grandchildren, Alana, Roslyn, Geoffrey, Andrew, Matthew, Daniel, Kristy, Stacey, Winston, Mark, Alicia, Jennifer and Gavin will dearly miss their Nanny. Mary is also survived by her great grandchildren, Myla,Wakan, Olivia, Charlotte , Kaelyn, Parks and Cage. Mary is survived by her sister, Theresa Carroll (Deep River) and her brother, Terry Gorman. Mary was predeceased by her sister Nancy, brothers, Joseph, Jack and Ray. Visitation was held at the Almonte Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 154 Elgin Street, Almonte on Sunday, October 9, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. C.W.L. prayed the Rosary at 1:45 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, October 10, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Name of Mary, Parish, Almonte, Ontario. Burial with her husband Eric at St. Mary's Cemetery, Almonte to follow.
