Mary M. Mitchell, 82, Sheffield, Ala., died Aug. 29, 2008.A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 6, 2008, at Colbert Memorial Chapel, Tuscumbia, Ala. Officiating will be Mike Nash.Mrs. Mitchell was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Mamie Sharp; sister, Pauline Hubbard; and brother, Bill Sharp.Survivors include two sons, John D. (Brenda) Mitchell, of Sheffield, and Perry S. (Janet) Mitchell, of Portage, Ind.; daughter, Phyllis (Ron) Kimmel, of Sheffield; four grandsons; two granddaughters; two brothers, Curtis Sharp, of Mishawaka, Ind., and James (Rosann) Sharp, of Toney, Ala.; three sisters, Geneva (Aaron) Cole, of Harvest, Ala., Katherine Egyed, of Edwardsburg, Mich., and Rachel (Jim) Hall, of Huntsville, Ala.; several nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Betty Sharp, of Mishawaka, Ind.She lived and worked in the Lake Station, Ind., area for more than 50 years before moving back to Alabama.In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a memorial donation be made to the church of one's choice.Colbert Memorial Chapel of the Shoals is directing.
