Mary M. McGee, age 66, of Florence died Wednesday, July 30, 2003, at her residence. She was a native of St. Louis, Mo., and a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, House Springs, Mo. She was retired from Wal-Mart. She was a beloved mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, godmother, aunt and friend of many.Visitation will be 9-10 a.m. today at Greenview Funeral Home. The graveside service will be at 10 a.m. in Greenview Memorial Park. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Abbot Victor Clark, O.S.B.She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel J. McGee Jr.; parents, James and Clara Blancett; brothers, Major Blancett, Chester Blancett, James Blancett and Charles Blancett.She is survived by her son, Dan McGee and wife, Kay, of Florence; sisters, Mabel Carlton of St. Louis, Mo., Clare St. Onge of St. Louis, Mo., and Ida Bernsen of Springfield, Mo.; grandchildren, Matt McGee and Kelly McGee, both of Florence; and a beloved aunt of Dorothy Allers of St. Louis, Mo.The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Felix Morris and Hospice of the Shoals.For those who wish, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Shoals, 115 Fairground Road, Florence, AL 35630.Greenview Funeral Home of Florence is directing.
