Avis de décès de Mary Louise

Mary Louise Tibbetts, 83 YARMOUTH -- Mary Louise Tibbetts, daughter of Adolphus and Cecile Dugas of Yarmouth, died March 4, 2009, unexpectedly at Maine Medical Center at the age of 83. Mary was born May 15, 1925, in Yarmouth where she was raised. She was a graduate of NYA and graduated from USM at the age of 53 with a degree in accounting. Mary worked for many years at Canal Bank as a loan officer, but most recently enjoyed her employment at Casco Bay Home Care as a Personal Care Attendant. She was the widow of Msgt. Clinton E. Tibbetts, who was killed in action, July 28, 1969, in Vietnam. An undeniably strong and determined woman, Mary enjoyed her life to the fullest extent. She devoted her time to taking care of others and was most passionate about her family. Mary felt most comfortable outdoors, surrounded by the flowers in her garden, walking the blueberry fields or playing in the river of her camp in Columbia, her home away from home. She especially loved to grow and harvest her large vegetable garden from which she did her canning and pickling. Mary was well known for her many unique talents including quilting and weaving, but those who knew her best couldn't describe her immense love for reading books. She will always be remembered for her big, red truck and infamous chicken coop. She is survived by one sister, Anne Kilton and her husband Milford of Durham; her four children, Terry Smith and her husband Michael of Stoughton and their four children, Jen, Kelly, Kerr, and Jessica; Michelle Tibbetts of Yarmouth and her two daughters, Emily and Danielle; Brian Tibbetts and his wife Debbi of Westbrook and their five children, Niki, Lyza, Tarrah, Ben and Shon; Gale Tibbetts of Westbrook and her son, Brandon; and her 13 great-grandchildren, Meaghan, Kelsey, Izaiah, Julia, Nicholas, Jake, Steven, Alex, Lilliana, Shaina, Shaylyn, Lillyana and Levi. Special thank you to the longtime residents of Yarmouth that have been especially supportive to our family at this time. Visiting hours will be held from 2-3:30 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Monday, March 9, 2009, at Lindquist Funeral Home, 1 Mayberry Lane, Yarmouth. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 10, 2009, at Sacred Heart Church, 326 Main St., Yarmouth. Spring interment will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery in Yarmouth.
