She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Ernest Ketcham Smith Jr. She is survived by daughters Priscilla Varland (Cy) of Caledonia, Nancy Smith (Murray Johnson) of St. Paul, MN, and Cynthia Jackson (Robert) of Portland, OR; grandchildren Nathan Varland, Rebecca Balonek, Elizabeth Varland, Michael Varland, Amelia Smith, Leah Johnson, Sarah Jackson and Benjamin Jackson, and 5 great-grandchildren. A service of celebration will be held Sunday, Sept. 15 at 1:30 p.m. at United Presbyterian Stone Church, 3177 Church St., Caledonia, NY. A service in Boulder, Colorado will be held at a later date.
