She is preceded in death by sisters, Mozella Ayles, LaToya Smiley and Sibbie Smalls; and brother, Arnold Smiley, Sr. The precious memories of Mary will live forever among her husband, Charlie Gunter; daughters, Tabatha Smiley (Lamar), Nyeesha Gunter; and stepdaughter, Brenda Gunter (Carlos); sons, Alphonso Morrison, Jr. (Tremundee) and Eric Morrison (Tamara); and stepson, Wondell Gunter; stepmother, Lola Smiley; sisters, Ophelia Johnson, Vernese Swint John), Carnet Swint (Lamont), and LaTanya Smiley (Tony); brothers, Willie Smiley, Jr. (Linda), Lawrence Smiley, Sr. (Anita), Johnny Smiley, Sr. (Elaine), Rodney Smiley and Gregory Smiley; stepsisters, Taris White and Shirl Wesley; stepbrothers, Henry III, Tony and Marcus Whites; aunts, Sibbie Black-shear (Bishop L.T.), and Essie Smiley; great-aunt, E. The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, May 17, at Church of God In Christ, 395 Church St., Lake Helen, FL, Pastor Sinclair Jenkins. Evangelist Donna Jenkins will deliver the main eulogy. Burial will follow the service at Suber Memorial Cemetery Lake Helen. Visitation hours are 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Friday (today) at Unity Funeral Home DeLand.
