Funeral service for Mrs. Mary Lou Ballard, 100, will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. David Teel officiating. Burial will follow at Forestlawn Gardens. The family will receive friends this evening from 6-8 at the funeral home. Mrs. Ballard passed away Wednesday at her residence. Survivors include her daughter, Joan B. Kysiak (Phil), of Oxford; her sons, James N. Ballard (Reatha), of Jacksonville, John A. Ballard (Joyce), of Inverness, Fla. and Joseph D. Ballard (Anita), of Gainesville, Ga.; eight grandchildren; 10 great- grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Ballard is preceded in death by her husband, James Dudley Ballard; her parents, Edd and Johnnie Norton; two sisters and four brothers. Pallbearers will be grandsons and nephews. Mrs. Ballard was a native and resident of Anniston. She was the oldest member of Carpenter Memorial United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Ladies Fireman's Auxiliary for several years and also worked at the polls. She was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed.
