TIERNEY _ Mary Loretta (1918 - 2007) Peacefully in hospital on July 12 following weeks in the Vancouver General Hospital. She was the dear aunt of Michael, Barbara, Margaret, Kathleen and Edith. She will be lovingly remembered by them and their families, and by her devoted friends, Norman, Marlyse, and her homemaker, Julia. Mary was predeceased by her father, Jack (1918), mother, Margaret Ann (1969), sister, Kathleen (1956), and sister, Rita (1966). Mary was a long time resident of Vancouver, a gifted musician who played for the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra for many years. A devout Catholic, all her life she dedicated herself to music, family, and friendships and brought warmth and love to the lives of those who knew her. Her family expresses sincere thanks to the doctors and caregivers at the Centennial Pavilion for their kind care. Prayers will be offered at 8 pm, Tuesday, July 17 at St. Augustine's Catholic Church, 2028 W. 7th Ave, Vancouver where Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 am Wednesday, July 18, 2007, Father John Brioux, O.M.I. celebrant. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
