Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 29, 2008, in the Ward's Funeral Home Chapel for Mary Lois Peterson, age 84, of Oakwood. The Rev. Mike Grizzle will officiate. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Mrs. Peterson passed away Friday, Sept. 26, 2008, at her residence following an extended illness. Mrs. Peterson was born in Hall County to the late Will and India Brown McIntyre. She had worked for Georgia Boot in Flowery Branch and was a member of Lebanon United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, David Peterson; and son, Larry David Southers. Survivors include her sons, Joseph Wayne Southers, Lula, and William Danny Allison, Oakwood; daughter, Terri Elaine Holt, Oakwood; and seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Ward's Funeral Home of Gainesville in charge of arrangements.
