Perry, Mary Linda CASTLETON Mary Linda Perry, of Castleton, N.Y., passed away on Tuesday, May 25, 2010, with family at her side, at Albany Memorial Hospital after a long illness. She was born in Albany, August 17, 1948, the daughter of the late Eugene W. and Laura C. (Davis) Paju. Mary resided in Rensselaer County for all of her life. Mary graduated from Columbia High School in East Greenbush in 1966, Massasoit Community College in Mass. and Empire State College in Saratoga Springs. She worked as a secretary for various offices including NYS Commission on Cable Television and NYS Higher Education Services Corporation. Mary's hobbies included gardening and sewing. She was an avid quilter and enjoyed making beautiful quilts for her family and friends. She also enjoyed spending her summers at Caroga Lake. Mary was very active in the Trinity Lutheran Church in Castleton, serving on the activities committee and altar guild. She was a longtime volunteer at the Anchor thrift shop and food pantry in Castleton. Mary is survived by her husband, Dean; a son, David; a brother, Robert (Barbara) Paju of Port Richey, Fla.; nieces, Laura (Kevin) Biegel of Coeymans, N.Y. and Kimberly (Robert) Hackel of East Greenbush, N.Y.; a nephew, Michael Paju of East Greenbush; great-nephews, Chris and Daniel Biegel, Bobby and Brett Hackel; a great-niece, Abigale Paju; aunts, Marilyn Paju of Colonie and Amelia Moroskey of East Greenbush; an uncle, William Davis of Loudonville, N.Y.; and numerous cousins, including her very close cousin, Ruth Hadden of Coxsackie, N.Y. Her cherished dog "Buddy" also survives her. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 29, 2010, at 10 a.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Castleton with interment in the St John's Cemetery on Sand Creek Road, Colonie, N.Y. Relatives and friends may call at Ray Funeral Home, 59 Seaman Ave., Castleton, from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, May 28, 2010. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, Green Avenue, Castleton, NY 12033, or Child Fund International (formally Christian Childrens' Fund), 2821 Emerywood Parkway, Richmond, VA 23294.
