MANCHESTER - Mary L. (George) Tierney, 63, of Manchester passed away unexpectedly June 7, 2013. She was surrounded by the love of her family. A lifelong resident of Manchester, Mary was born in the city Jan. 23, 1950, daughter of the late Christos and Euleta (Robinson) George. She was educated in area schools and spent many years working for E & R Cleaners as well as in quality control at Summit. Mary loved pina coladas, playing bingo and visiting Hampton Beach; but the most important thing in her life was family. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. From a daily cup of coffee with her sister to family gatherings and celebrations, Mary cherished deeply all of the moments spent with her loved ones. Mary is survived by five children, Chasity Bourbeau and her husband, Thomas of Allenstown, Bambi Tierney of Derry, Jennifer (Tierney) Buzzell and her husband, L. Michael of Candia, Christopher Francis of Manchester and Michael Francis of Manchester; her sister, Christine Hannaford of Manchester; grandchildren, Ashley Boulanger, Kyle Bourbeau, Katelyn Buzzell, Madison Buzzell and Jordan Francis; two great-grandchildren; nephew, John Hannaford; niece, Kelly Hannaford; her former husband, Edward Tierney and his wife, Mary's close friend, Catherine Tierney. . SERVICES: An hour of gathering will be held Wednesday, June 12, 6 to 7 p.m. at Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover St. in Manchester. A memorial service will follow immediately in the funeral home. Burial will be private at a later date. Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Manchester office, is assisting the family with arrangements.
