Mary K. Molly (Diamond) Linehan, age 89, of West Bridgewater, died peacefully Monday, June 24, 2013, at the Life Care Center in West Bridgewater. She was the loving wife of the late Atty. Joseph F. Linehan. Molly was born and raised in Brockton, a daughter of the late Louis and Mary (Corcoran) Diamond and had been a resident of West Bridgewater since 1962. A 1940 graduate of St. Patrick High, Molly earned her bachelor's degree in Education in 1944 and master's degree in 1954 from Bridgewater State College. She had been an elementary school teacher in Randolph and Weymouth until she stayed home to raise her children. In her later years, she was a substitute teacher in West Bridgewater. Molly had been a charter member of the Charity Guild in Brockton where she was a board member and coordinator of its Food Pantry Appeal program. She was also a board member of the Brockton Symphony where she had been the ticket chairperson for 12 years. Mollie enjoyed the game of golf for over 50 years and been a member at the Brockton Country Club, Thorny Lea and Plymouth Country Club. She also enjoyed reading and music but the greatest joy in her life was spending time with her grandson. She is survived by a son, James M. Linehan of Chicago; and a daughter, Jane F. Centrella and her husband John of West Bridgewater. She was the loving grandmother of Vincent A. Centrella; and sister of the late David C. Diamond. She also leaves several nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont St. (Rte. 123), Brockton, Wednesday 5-8 p.m. The procession will gather at the funeral home Thursday at 9 a.m. for a funeral Mass in St. Ann Church, West Bridgewater, at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
