Clay, Mary K., was the loving wife of Bill Clay for over 60 years and the most wonderful mother to her children, William Scott Clay II and Sondra Scott Clay. Scott and his wife, Julie, reside in Montgomery, TX and her late daughter, Sandy, who passed away on September 5, 2002, left behind a beautiful grandson, Ryan Hunter Riggs. Mary was the daughter of J.H. and Roslyn Hill of Elkhart, IN. She was born on February 15, 1921. She graduated from Elkhart High School and also attended Elkhart Business College. In 1937, she met her soon to be life long mate, Bill, in Wakarusa, IN. They were married in 1943 and resided in Wakarusa. In 1957, they moved to Hollywood, FL. Mary was one of the founding members of the St. Andrews Presbyterian Church of Hollywood. She was also a founding member of the Harlequin Club. For over twelve years, Mary was the secretary to the Principal of Hollywood Hills High School. In 1991, Mary and Bill moved to Deerfield Beach, FL. Mary belonged to the First Presbyterian Church of Pompano Beach and became a very active member of the "Children's Home Society". Mary was an extremely giving person, not only of her time, but especially with her love. Mary, thank you for a perfect sixty-five years. Bill. I love you so. Services will be held on Tuesday, August 19, 2003 at 7:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church, located at 2331 NE 26th Ave., Pompano, FL 33062. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Children's Home Society at 401 NE 4th St. Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301 would be appreciated.
