O’BRIEN, Mary Josephine, Peacefully on March 17, 2003 at the Hotel Dieu Hospital, M. Josephine O’Brien, at age 67 years. Survived by husband Ted O’Brien, and children Michael (Jackie), Terry, Mary Jo (Billy), Edward (Laura), Patti-Ann Hodgson (Curtis), Susan Pingue (Tino), Jennifer, and Peter (fiancee Jackie). Also survived by brothers Jerry (Peggy), Lad (Ann) Murphy, and Peter, sisters Pat Doyle (John) and Susan Murphy (Robert). Josephine is survived by her 15 grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Josephine was predeceased by her son Andrew, her parents Howard and Freeda Murphy, and her brothers Michael and Matt. The family expresses gratitude to Monsignor O’Donohue, Sister Louise, Chaplains, medical and support staff of the Hotel Dieu Hospital and Dr. T. Nolan. Mrs. O’Brien is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St. until Friday at 9:30 a.m. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at the Cathedral of St. Catherine of Alexandria at 10:00 a.m. Cremation to follow. Visiting hours are Thursday at 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Vigil prayers for the deceased will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family. 034334 3/20/2003- ID1522121 - St. Catharines Standard
