HomemakerBARTOW -- Mrs. Mary E. Johnson of Bartow died of complications of Alzheimer's disease Wednesday (April 6, 2005) at Highlands Lake Center. She was 79.Born in Daytona on Aug. 23, 1925, Mrs. Johnson came to Bartow from there 70 years ago. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Fifth Avenue Church of Christ in Bartow.Mrs. Johnson is survived by her daughters, Mary Johnson, Carolyn Johnson, Lula Sanders, all of Bartow, Maxine Holden, Miami, Sheila Johnson, Winter Haven; sons, James Johnson, Michael Johnson, both of Bartow; 21 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 4:30 to 7 this evening at Williams Funeral Home, Bartow. Services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at Fifth Avenue Church of Christ.
