-> Garden City - Mary Jo Upton, 82, died at her home December 9, 2003. She was born in Crossland, Georgia to Clifford Lynch and Ida Mae Hawkins Lynch. She married Joseph S. Upton, Mr. Upton preceded her in death, she was also preceded in death by a son, Madison Upton; three brothers and nine sisters. Mary Jo was one of Jehovah's Witnesses for 51 years in the Garden City Congregation. Mrs. Upton is survived by a daughter, Merole Griner; three sons, Frederick Upton, David Upton and Paul Upton; a sister, Annette Avellanedda; seven grandchildren and three great-graandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Visitation: 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Massey Framke Funeral Care. Funeral Services: 1:00 p.m., Thursday, December 11, 2003 at Massey-Framke Chapel and will be officiated by Robert Fields, an Elder of Jehovah's Witnesses. Burial: Bonaventure Cemetery.
