Mary Jane (Wheeler) Wilson Ilion Mrs. Mary Jane (Wheeler) Wilson, of Barringer Road, Town of German Flatts, devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully, at the age of 84, on Tuesday, September 23, 2008, in the comfort of her home. She was born in Ilion on January 15, 1924, daughter of the late Harold and Margaret (Albin) Wheeler, and was a proud graduate of Annunciation Catholic School, Ilion. Mrs. Wilson considered her job to be home and taking wonderful, thoughtful care of her loved ones. A job that she performed with dedication and pride. She was a lifelong communicant of the Annunciation Church, Ilion, and held her faith close to her heart. Besides her loving husband of over 66 years, Charlie, of Ilion, she leaves her son, Charles "Chuck" Wilson, Jr., of Springfield; a daughter, MaryAnn (Wilson) Scott, of Las Vegas, NV; her cherished grandchildren, Kevin Scott and wife, Andrea, of Milton, VT, Tammy Scott and companion, Tony Wiggins, of Santa Monica, CA, and Chuck Wilson, III; her adored great-grandchildren, Kyle Scott and Ashley Scott, both of Vermont, and Faith Wilson, of Johnstown; and many nieces and nephews, including JoAnne Collins and Colleen Loefler. She was predeceased by her son, Danny Wilson, in 1995; her sisters, Margaret Loefler, Dorothy Tyson, Gladys Crimm and Doris Bacon; and her brothers, Bobby, Charles, Luther, Harold and George Wheeler. In honoring Mrs. Wilson's wishes, there will be a private funeral service at the Enea Family Funeral Home, between Ilion and Frankfort, 894-8000. There are no calling hours. Donations in Mary's memory may be made to the Church of the Annunciation or to the Herkimer County Humane Society; envelopes may be obtained at the funeral home.
