Mary-Jane Himko, née en 1915, conjointe de Louis Remza, fille de Stephen et Marie, est décédée le 10 février 2008 à l'âge de 93 ans.
Mary Jane Himko of California Mary Jane Himko, 93, passed away on Sunday evening, February 10, 2008, at her home in Morongo Valley, Calif. where she was lovingly taken care of by her sister-in-law, Dorothy "Naomi" Himko and her family. She was predeceased by her parents, Stephen and Marie (Kapral) Himko; four brothers, John, Michael, George and William Himko; and a sister; Anna Lynn (Weslar). She is survived by four sisters, Anne Burnell Peters, Fla., Marjorie Remza and her husband, Louis Remza, Binghamton, Irene Juriga Lucik, Johnson City, and Dorothy and her husband, Jim Corcoran, Fla., a brother, Stephen Himko, Binghamton; many nieces and nephews and including her special niece who helped her throughout the years. She also leaves behind her five cats. Born in Binghamton, Mary Jane lived most her life in California. She was a waitress all her life, working at the Olympic Tea Room in Binghamton and the Mayflower in Los Angeles. Funeral services will be held Saturday, 1 p.m. at the Chopyak-Scheider Funeral Home, 326 Prospect Street, Binghamton, with Very Rev. Protopresbyter James Dutko officiating. Burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday, noon until the time of the service at the funeral home.
