DALY Mary Jane (nee Stokes) May 14th, 1914 - January 27th, 2008 Mary Jane Daly, 93, beloved wife of the late James Arthur Daly passed away at the Cedar Hills Extended Care Unit of Langley Memorial Hospital in the early morning hours on Sunday, January 27th, 2008. Her sisters Emily and Alma, and her brothers Cliff and Jack predeceased Mary. Her sister Marion survives her. Mary and Arthur were married January 23, 1931. They raised 2 loving daughters Mary Louise (Fred) Hartmann and Marlene Frances in the City of Burnaby before moving to White Rock after Arthur retired. They enjoyed their years together on Russell Avenue spending much time with their family, especially their grandchildren whom they showered with love and devotion; Shelley (Gary) Baese, Cindy (Glenn) Richardson, Kevin Persson (Chris), Troy Persson, Dean Jones (Trina), Darren Jones (Marie) and Denise Jones (Zaheed Merchant). Mary Jane had 12 great-grandchildren, Jennifer (Phil) Misquitta, Daniel Baese, Bradley Richardson, Ashlee (Kevin) Kerrigan, Brittany Richardson, Chelsea Richardson, Courtney and Mark Persson, Riley Jones, Emily Jones, Zade and Zane Merchant and one great-great-granddaughter Kadence Jane Kerrigan. Mary Jane had a gentle spirit, a loving heart and caring ways. All who knew and loved her will truly miss her. Our family would like to express our appreciation to the staff at Langley Memorial Hospital for the care she received in her final days. A Celebration of her Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 5th at Ocean View Funeral Home, 4000 Imperial Street, Burnaby, B.C. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
