Mary Jane Bryant, age 88, of Ormond Beach passed away February 14, 2009 after a lengthy illness at Grand Villa Assisted Living. A Celebration of Life for Mrs. Bryant will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 21, 2009 at the Ormond Beach Union Church located at 56 N. Beach Street, Ormond Beach with the Reverend Charles Melvin officiating. A Committal Service will be held at a later date in Hinsdale, IL. Mary Jane was a long time member of Ormond Beach Union Church. She moved here from Miami Shores, FL. She enjoyed traveling, reading, church activities, being at the family vacation home in Glen Arbor, MI & most importantly spending time with her three granddaughters. Mary Jane graduated from Northwestern University with a Bachelor of Arts & Masters Degree in English Literature. She was also a member of the Beta Chapter of the Alpha Phi Sorority, Phi Beta Kappa & the CU Chapter of the P.E.O. Sisterhood. She is survived by her daughters & sons-in-law, Margaret (Peggie) B. (Thomas) Hart of Ormond Beach, FL, Mary Nell Bryant (Richard) Kelly of Arlington, VA, Patricia B. (Henry) Rodriguez of Miami, FL, Tammy Creasman of Asheville, NC; & three granddaughters, Mary Margaret Hart of Greensboro, NC, Sarah E. Hart of Ormond Beach, FL, & Calie A. Rodriguez of Miami, FL. Mrs. Bryant was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin S. Bryant & her parents, Wade & Margaret Fetzer.
