<!-- DisplayFullObituaryText -->Mary Jane Allen, 93, of Montrose, Alabama, died Sunday, 1:15, March 30, 2014. She was born to the late Augustus T. and Francis Williams, July 20, 1920, in Montrose, Alabama. Mary Jane graduated from Baldwin County Training School in 1936 and went on to receive her teacher's degree in 1940. She married the late Adam G. Allen in 1946, and they resided in Montrose, Alabama. Mary Jane curtailed her teaching career to begin/raise a family. She was passionate about singing. She sang and performed for audiences throughout the state in local and various county events. She was a gifted seamstress, retired from public service at Fairhope Laundry and Dry Cleaners, Fairhope, Alabama in 1973; loved to entertain and travel, to include a trip to London, England with her daughter in 1985. Mary Jane is survived by five children: Adam Gerard, Mobile, AL, Oliver Russell, Mobile, AL, Peggy A./ Malcom Amos, Clarksville, TN, Edward Talton, Mobile, AL,Terry Francis /Bonnie, Mobile, AL; a brother, Hildra Williams, Mobile, AL; a sister, Annie Pearl Hill, McIntosh, AL; sixteen grandchildren and twenty-five great-grandchildren. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A viewing will be held Friday, April 11, 2014 from 5:00 -7:00p.m. at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope, Al. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 12, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. from the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Fairhope. Interment will follow in Montrose Cemetery.
