Mary J. Forbes, 91, died Jan. 31, 2013, at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center & Heart Institute in Fort Pierce. She was born in Ontonagon, Mich., and lived in Fort Pierce 23 years, coming from Detroit. She was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Mark the Evangelistic Catholic Church, Fort Pierce. She was a veteran of the Marine Corps. She was past president and member of the Auxiliary at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center & Heart Institute. She volunteered for hospitals in Michigan and Florida and volunteered at St. Mark Catholic Church Thrift Store. Survivors include sons, Robert and Larry Forbes; brothers, Alfred and Lawrence; sisters, Margaret and Donna; two grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert P. Forbes; and brothers, Ed and Stanley Szaroletta. Services: A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Feb. 8 at St. Mark the Evangelistic Catholic Church in Fort Pierce. Arrangements are by Yates Funeral Home and Crematory in Fort Pierce.
