ROTTERDAM Mary Jeanne Carpenter, 59, of Second Avenue, died Saturday, November 29, 2003 after a long illness at St. Peter's Hospital. Mrs. Carpenter was born in Albany, was a graduate of Icabod Crane High School and Empire State College. For many years, she worked for the Golub Corp. as the director of organizational development, retiring in January 2003. She was devoted to her family, husband Alfred Carpenter; children and stepchildren, Veronica Frazier and her husband Steve of Saratoga Springs, Ray Shields and his wife Kindell of Freehold, Marilea Frezza and her husband David of Rochester and Aimee Carpenter of Watervliet. She is also survived by her mother Mary Newkirk; six brothers and sisters, Thomas Newkirk, David Newkirk, Veronica Turner, George Newkirk, Michael Newkirk and Elizabeth Holton; three grandchildren, Kayla, Meghan and David Frezza Jr. and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father Thomas Newkirk. Funeral service Tuesday morning at 9 o'clock at the Daly Funeral Home, Inc., 242 McClellan St., Schenectady.
