MARY HYATT MELBOURNE Mary Frances Hyatt, 77, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 24, 2006, after a long illness. Mary was born May 29, 1928 in Littleton, West Virginia. The family moved to the Washington, DC area and Mary attended Dunbarton Col lege in Maryland. She worked at Woodward and Lothrop Department Store in Washington for many years as a buyer of fine crystal and china. She later worked at National Institutes of Health in Silver Spring, MD. After retire ment in 1990, she and her husband, Robert, moved to Mel bourne, Florida. She was a member of Ascen sion Catholic Church in Mel bourne and was a long-time member of the Elks Lodge also in Melbourne. She was an ac tive volunteer freely giving her time to help others with income tax preparation through the Vol unteer Income Tax Assistance Program. Mary is survived by her hus band, Robert Hyatt; her sister, Catherine Whitaker; her brother, Thomas Kearney; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Robert W. and Mildred Kearney and her brothers, Robert, John, Joseph and Edward Kearney. There will be a memorial mass at Ascension Catholic Church at 11 a.m., Friday, June 2nd. Interment will follow at Florida Memorial Gardens in Rockledge.
