Mary Thompson Hughes, 71, of Poplar Place Apartments, passed away Friday, November 30, 2007, at Kennestone Wellstar Hospital.Born in Greenville, S.C., she was a daughter of the late H. Beattie and Agnes Sanders Thompson. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.Surviving is one daughter, Kathy Hughes Johnson of Columbia; one sister, Becky T. Moore and husband, Sammy, of Laurens; and one niece, Laurie Moore of Laurens.Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, December 1, 2007, at Forest Lawn Cemetery, conducted by Rev. James K.
