Mary Eula Maynor Hicks, 89, of 200 Echo Circle, wife of the late Archie James Hicks, died Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2005, at Cannon Memorial Hospital. Born in Spartanburg County, the daughter of the late Boyd and Beulah Maynor, Mrs. Hicks retired from Arkwright Mills in Spartanburg after 20 years of service and was of the Baptist faith. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, James Boyd and Georgia Hicks of Greer; a daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn R. and James Owens of Easley; a daughter-in-law, Lorene Hicks of Greenwood; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Hicks was predeceased by a son, Leonard Franklin Hicks; and a grandson, James Franklin Cole. Funeral services will be at 5 p.m. today in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown, with visitation immediately following the service. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Fort Prince Cemetery in Wellford. The family is at the residence, 200 Echo Circle, Easley, SC 29642. Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown is assisting the family with arrangements.
