Jones, Mary Frances ALBANY Mary Frances Jones, 93, formerly of 99 South Pearl St. died Sunday March 25, 2007 at the Teresian House. Miss Jones was born in Troy and was the daughter of the late John L. and Jane Barrett Jones. She graduated from St. Francis de Salles School, Troy High School, and the Allen School of Commerce in Troy. She worked as a secretary for the Troy Yarn Company from 1933 to 1950. She then became credit manager of WP Herbert Co., a clothing store in Troy until 1953. At that time Miss Jones became a bookkeeper and office manager at Trojan Maid Children's Garments until 1955. From 1955 until her retirement in 1983 Miss Jones worked as a bookkeeper for St. Vincent de Paul Church and the former Vincentian Institute. Miss Jones was a former president of the Catholic Junior Service League in Troy and former president of the Credit Women's Breakfast Club of Troy. She was a long time member of the Catholic Women's Service League in Troy and Albany and former member of the Business and Professional Women's Club of Albany and Troy. She was also a former secretary of the Troy Democratic Women's Club. Miss Jones was a communicant and a Eucharistic Minister at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. She is survived by her loving brother, Father Jack Jones of Albany and a cousin, Mrs. Ellen Bevins of Troy. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. in the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Albany. Relatives and friends are invited. There will be no calling hours. Interment in St. Mary's Cemetery, Troy.
