Services for Mrs. Mary Frances Hart Clark, 74, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2002, at Johnston United Methodist Church in Johnston, S.C., with burial to follow in Mt. of Olives Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Bland Funeral Home Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. A memorial service will be held in Tallahassee at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Epworth Children's Home, 2900 Milwood Ave., P.O. Box 50466, Columbia, SC 29250 or Florida United Methodist Children's Home, 51 Main St., Enterprise, FL 32725. Mrs. Clark died Saturday, Nov. 9, 2002. A native of Johnston, she had lived in Tallahassee, Fla., since August of 1997. She was a daughter of the late Claude Walker and Edna Bowen Hart, was a 1948 graduate of Limestone College in Gaffney, S.C., and was a member of Saint Paul's United Methodist Church in Tallahassee. A retired teacher, she maintained a lifelong dedication to the welfare of children. Survivors include sons, Benjamin David Clark Jr. and Douglas Stephen Clark, both of Johnston; daughter, Marli Clark Strickland, Tallahassee, Fla.; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
