Mary Fitzsimmonsactive in the Concord community; 84 CONCORD, MA Mary (Fahey) Fitzsimmons, 84, ofConcord, died Tuesday, September 29, 2009, atConcord Park Assisted Living.She was the beloved wife of43 years of the late Edward J. Fitzsimmons who died in 1994.Born in Pittsfield on February 24, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Marion (Daly) Fahey. She grew up in Dalton, attended Dalton schools and graduated from Dalton High School.She was married to Mr. Fitzsimmons in 1951 and became a resident ofConcord in 1953, where she raised her six children and was active in community affairs.Mrs. Fitzsimmons worked for several years at Needle Arts in West Concord. She enjoyed skiing and golfing, and also hosting parties for her wide circle of friends.Survivors include her children, Mary Ellen Rogers of Portland, Oregon, Eileen Simoneau of Marlborough, John Fitzsimmons of Maynard, Tom Fitzsimmons of Westford, and Annie Parrow of Lancaster; and her grandchildren, Justin, Shannon, Jacky, Danielle, Michael, Brian, Kelly, Patrick, Kaleigh, Colleen, Mary, Greg, Andrew, Philippe, Margaret, Katie, E.J., Max, Charlie, Emma and Tommy.She was also the mother of the late Pat Hunter, and sister of the late Fred and Bud Fahey.FITZSIMMONS Mary (Fahey), in Concord, Sept. 29. Funeral Saturday, October 3rd from the DeeFuneral Home, 27 Bedford Street, CONCORD CENTER at 9 AM followed by a funeral Mass in Holy Family Parish, Monument Square, Concord Center at10 AM.
