Occupational TherapistLAKELAND -- Mrs. Mary M. Fritz of Lakeland died of complications of Alzheimer's disease Thursday (Feb. 19, 2004) at Tandem Health Care of Lakeland. She was 97.Born in Rush Lake, Wis., on Feb. 7, 1907, she came to Lakeland from Waukesha, Wis., in 1969. She was a certified occupational therapist, working for several years at Methodist Manor in West Allis, Wis. She was also a teacher at the Fairwater Elementary School. She graduated from the Berlin, Wis., Normal School. She was a member of College Heights United Methodist Church.Mrs. Fritz was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford M. Fritz. She is survived by her sister, Maude Hooper, Macon, Ga.; caregiver, Patricia Fritz, Auburndale; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.Burial will be at a later date at the Koro Cemetery, Berlin, Wis.Memorials may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice, 105 Arneson Ave., Auburndale, FL 33823.
