Mary F. Henderson, 80, of Seymour, passed away at 4 a.m. Friday, March 7, 2008, at her residence.Mrs. Henderson was a homemaker. She was a member of the VFW and American Legion ladies auxiliaries. She loved collecting clocks and baking.Born in Salem, on June 21, 1927, she was the daughter of John and Pauline Kirk Moore, both of whom preceded her in death. On May 28, 1949, in New Albany, she married John F. Henderson, who preceded her in death on May 20, 2007.Survivors include daughters, Rhea D. Murray, and Kathy L. (Chad) Wells; son, Michael S. (Juanita) Henderson; five grandchildren, Tanya Graham, Bruce Murray, Christopher Henderson, Chelsea Wells, and Gavyn Wells; seven great- grandchildren; sister, Darlene Farabee; and brothers, Morris (Iris) Moore, and Larry J. (Sandy) Moore.She was preceded in death by brother, Gary Moore; and sister, Marilyn Vaningham.The Rev. Monte Henderson will conduct funeral services at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Voss Chapel, Seymour. Burial will take place at Riverview Cemetery, Seymour, with a dove release following.Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today and from 12:30 p.m. until time of service Tuesday at the funeral home.There will be a VFW Ladies Auxiliary service at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.Memorials may be given to the Starkey Hearing Foundation.www.vossfuneralservice.com
