Graveside service for Mary Evangeline T. Thompson, 95, of Athens will be today, Feb. 10, 2005, at 2 p.m. at Limestone Memorial Gardens with Don Osborne and Warren Glass officiating and Limestone Chapel Funeral Home directing.Visitation will be today from noon until 2 p.m. at the funeral home.Mrs. Thompson died Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2005, at Limestone Health Facility. She was born Sept. 8, 1909, in Limestone County to John and Florence Belle Thomas. She was retired from Extension Service in Sumpter, S.C. She was a member of Market Street Church of Christ, the Quilting Guild and the Home Demonstration Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Thompson; six brothers, Lee Thomas, Virgil Thomas, Aubrey Thomas, John Lindsey Thomas, Clifton Thomas and Waller Davis Thomas; and two sisters, Beatrice Sanderson and Florence Tidwell. She is survived by one brother, Paul F. Thomas of Huntsville; one sister, Pauline F. Sanderson of Redding, Calif.; six nephews; and six nieces. Pallbearers will be Barton Tidwell, Tony Thomas, Stanley Menefee, Tim Gossett, Pettus Menefee and John Edward Thomas. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to your favorite charity.
