Mary Esther Smith, 64, died Oct. 25, 2007, in Stuart. She was born in Hamilton, Canada, and lived in Port St. Lucie since 1979, coming from Pompano Beach. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church. Survivors include her sons, Kristopher Stinson of Port St. Lucie and Eric Stinson of Palm City; daughters, Penny Stinson Carter of Fort Pierce, Sheryl Cammenga of Murphy, N.C., Marie Stinson Alvarado of Fort Pierce and Christy Smith of Tampa; brothers, Thomas McIlwrick of Woodstock, Canada, Ken McIlwrick of St. Catherines, Canada, Edward Patterson of Dunnville, Canada, and Elmer Patterson of Crystal Beach, Canada; sister, Bonnie Truax of Dundas, Canada; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Stinson; and sister, Margaret McIlwrick. Memorial contributions may be made to the Treasure Coast Hospices, 1201 S.E. Indian St., Stuart, FL 34997. SERVICES: Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Oct. 29 at Haisley Funeral Home, Fort Pierce. A service will be at 10:30 a.m. Oct. 30 at Haisley Funeral Home.
